Jenna is such a down-to-earth person, but the morning of the wedding you could tell she was feeling a mix of excitement and nerves—which honestly felt so real and so normal.
A First Look at Park of Roses in Columbus, Ohio
That all shifted after their first look at the Park of Roses.
Once Jenna and David had that quiet time together, everything softened. Jenna visibly relaxed, and from that moment on, she was able to truly enjoy her day—such a perfect example of one of my favorite benefits of a first look.
And I have to say—Jenna was an absolutely stunning bride. Effortlessly beautiful in a way that felt natural and timeless, never forced or overdone. I could have taken a thousand photos of her and her dress.
A Kind, Thoughtful Love Story
David is one of those people who is just genuinely kind to his core.
One of my favorite memories of them actually goes back to their engagement session—I realized near the end that my phone had fallen out of my bag somewhere along the way, and before I could even fully process it, David had already taken off to go find it. I told him he didn’t need to, but that’s just who he is.
That same sweetness and thoughtfulness showed up again and again throughout their wedding day, and it’s such a big part of who they are as a couple.
A Ceremony at Calvary Bible Church in Columbus, Ohio
Their ceremony took place at Calvary Bible Church, where they exchanged vows during a meaningful Christian ceremony surrounded by family and friends.
After being pronounced husband and wife, they celebrated with a joyful bubble exit before transitioning into family and bridal party photos.
Everything flowed beautifully—which was no accident. We had spent time before the wedding creating a thoughtful photography timeline together, and it made such a difference. Even with six hours of coverage, the day felt unrushed, and we were able to capture just as much as many eight-hour weddings.
Fall Portraits at Park of Roses in Columbus, Ohio
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect.
It was one of those classic fall days—slightly warm with just a hint of chill in the air, soft overcast skies with moments of sunshine peeking through, and leaves just beginning to change.
Because it had been an unusually warm fall, the Park of Roses still had so many roses in bloom, which felt like such a special and unexpected gift. We were hopeful, but seeing the gardens still so full of color made their portraits even more meaningful.
Reception at Bob Crane Community Center in Columbus, Ohio
The celebration continued at the Bob Crane Community Center, where guests enjoyed a relaxed and welcoming reception filled with laughter and heartfelt moments.
Jenna, who is a graphic designer, created their invitations herself through Jenna B Designs, adding such a personal and intentional touch to the day.
Even more special, Jenna’s mom thoughtfully put together the bouquets and florals—and they were absolutely stunning. The navy and terracotta color palette came together beautifully, feeling warm, timeless, and perfectly suited for fall.
A Wedding Rooted in What Matters Most
Jenna and David planned a wedding that felt thoughtful without being overcomplicated, grounded in what mattered most to them.
Their faith was woven naturally throughout the day—from their ceremony to the way they interacted with one another and their loved ones—and it was something that made their celebration feel even more meaningful.
It was such an honor to document the beginning of their marriage and to witness a day that felt so genuine, intentional, and full of love.
