Riding Golf Carts to a Hilltop Ceremony
Instead of walking a few steps to their seats, guests hop on golf carts and ride from the clubhouse up the hill to the ceremony site. It’s fun, it gets everyone excited before the ceremony even starts, and it makes for some seriously cute photos. This is the moment that makes Licking Springs unforgettable.
Once at the top, the view speaks for itself. The ceremony site overlooks the rolling greens of the course, giving couples a wide-open, airy backdrop for saying “I do.” If outdoor wedding venues in Ohio are high on your list, this hilltop ceremony is hard to beat. Rachel’s bridesmaids in light blue, the groomsmen in navy, and soft blue florals made the whole palette feel fresh and timeless against the green.
A First Look and a Drink at the Bar
Andy and Rachel started their day with a first look, then did something we absolutely loved: they grabbed a drink at the club’s bar before portraits. It was the perfect nod to their story, since their first date was at a bar, and we photographed their engagement session at one too. Add the Ohio State game playing in the background, and it was such a fun, them moment in the middle of the day.

It also gives couples peace of mind with a built-in weather backup. Andy and Rachel even had a custom golf flag at their reception, which was the perfect playful touch for a country club celebration.
