Charlie & Kayla's Little Brook Meadows Wedding | Lancaster Ohio Wedding Venues
If you're planning a Little Brook Meadows wedding, you're in for something special. Just 30 minutes from Columbus, this Lancaster, Ohio venue sits on 50 acres of countryside and pairs a historic manor house with a spacious barn. That's a combination we don't see often among Central Ohio wedding venues. We recently photographed Charlie and Kayla's wedding here, and it gave us the perfect look at everything this property has to offer.
Getting Ready in the Historic Manor
The manor is the heart of Little Brook Meadows, and honestly, it's what made us fall in love with this venue. The house is full of character. Its library, dining room, and sitting room can all be used during the day, and since the home offers on-site lodging, the wedding party can get ready, take photos, and stay all in one place.
For portraits, the manor is a dream. Every room offers a different backdrop, and the natural light gives indoor photos a soft, true-to-life feel. Charlie and Kayla's quiet moments inside the house are some of our favorite images from their day. For couples drawn to historic wedding venues in Ohio, this house alone is worth the visit.
Ceremony Spaces on the Grounds
Couples have plenty of options for saying "I do" at Little Brook Meadows: the open meadow, a charming gazebo, or indoor spaces inside the home. Charlie and Kayla chose an outdoor ceremony on the lawn, with the white barn framing the background. It made for classic, timeless ceremony images. Their bouquets of burgundy dahlias, blush, mustard, and ivory added a rich pop of fall color against the greenery.
A Lantern-Lit Barn Reception
The barn at Little Brook Meadows can host up to 300 guests, and it's every bit as charming as the house. Whitewashed wood, soaring beams, and paper lanterns overhead give it a warm, glowing feel without needing much decor. Charlie and Kayla kept it simple, with white linens and soft sage green runners, and the space did the rest. It's a great example of how the best barn wedding venues in Ohio let your style shine without competing with it.
Photo Tips for Your Little Brook Meadows Wedding
- Get ready in the manor. You'll get beautiful window light, and your getting-ready photos will have real character instead of a plain hotel room backdrop.
- Plan a few indoor portraits. The manor gives you a built-in rain plan and a completely different look from your outdoor photos.
- Save time for the meadow. Golden hour on 50 acres of open land is hard to beat for couple portraits.
- Let the barn's lighting do the work. The lanterns glow beautifully once the sun goes down, so you won't need to go overboard on reception decor.
